Destruction Of Fort Oswego

1

  • The events turned out the way they did becuase the french was being led by a strong , new leader and they collaborated with canadians and indian allies
  • The commander ( Montcalm ) wasnt new to the military lifestyle , so he knew how to lead an army , so he strategically planned the destruction of oswego , and with his strategies , the plan fell through.
  • Lessons that can be learned from this battle are that if your claiming a territory , you need to have someone watching it at all times, and you should have a back up plan.

2

  • The british neglected fort oswego , which gave the french a gateway to sneak up on the britsh.

The british already had enemies in the same territory.the british became quick enemies with the indians in the area because the british took over their land.

3
