Myers, 2007, describes experiments of Teresa Amabile (1983, 187), that indicated: creative environment sets one free from worries about the support of others.
During one experiment students were asked to make a collage and they were told that the work will be evaluated by a commission. Works of those who didn't know they would be evaluated, were better and commission stated they were more creative. Those who didn't worry about the evaluation felt more free and therefore the imagination could be better expressed.
It is a solid knowledge.
Creative environment insipes, supports and helps upon the development of creative ideas. It has been noted that famous scientists haven't been lonely geniuses - they were supported by colleagues, they were encouraged; such people have an emotional intellect needed for the effective work with colleagues (Sterberg, Lubart, 1992).
"A company 3M, the "eleventh God's Commandment" of which states "Do not kill a new product idea", encourages staff to devote 15 percents of working time to creative projects that do not give a rapid benefit. This environment, encouraging creativity assisted in developing such goods as stickers for notes" (Myers, 2007).
According to Myers, 2008, surveys on intellect and creativity enable the premise that creativity needs some level of skills, but it is not enough.
The more phrases, images or phrases we memorize upon learning, the more possibilities we have to rearrange those “construction blocks” in a new way.
Tiriant kūrybingus žmones, be reikiamo minimalaus gebėjimų lygio, paaiškėjo dar penki kūrybingumo dėmenys:
Thinking skills, linked with imagination: ability to see things in a new way, to recognize images and to link them (Copernicus firstly studied Solar system planets and then creatively identified that the system is spinning around the Sun, but not around the Earth).
People are the most creative then they are encouraged firstly by interest, happiness, satisfaction and the work - but not the outside pressure.
External stimulus is not that important for creative people - to implement tasks on time, to make impression for others or to earn money - as the internal satisfaction and challenge for own abilities upon working ( Newton, when asked how he managed to solve such difficult scientific problems, responded: “Thinking about them all the time”).
Courageous and excited personalities are not disturbed by uncertainty and risks; such people are striving to overcome all difficulties and instead of walking the known paths, look for new experiences.
Thomas Edison tried many materials for the development of his lamp.
