During the 19th century to modern age American, music has changed. Throught the years there is various styles and artist who have made a significant advancement.

over time more instruments, vocals, producers, and styles came into play. Music was no longer traditional sounds and instruments. It became a composition altering the genre of rock and creating new sounds.

Queen

Queen's 1975 hits,also combines every music genre,the most inspiring Queen song. The look of glam was exaggerated thru their style of heavy metal and progressive rock. In their single, bohemian rapsody, they blended opera and metal. This inspired many bands to experiment and use outside influences for their music

Harlem renaissance

The harlem renaissance changed the course of music forever and added to black identity. African americans created jazz as a way to express and play music in their own way without white americas influence. This was the stepping stone for all genres of music; like rap, r&b and etc. The rhythms and blues attracted new listeners outside of african americans who started the change.

Music changed how many people felt no only about themselves but others when hearing music. It inspired them to change and evolve.

black pride

Music brought African Americans a chance to produce and create new music. They played major roles in the bands because of their cultures and similarities to the music. Bringing in popularity to their history through jazz music furthering society to being more open and inclusive.

rebels

The music being made was a way to send the people messages. An example of an early message that changed the standard of women. Flappers were women who would listen to jazz and dance and wear short dresses acting out or ¨ rebelling¨" against women standards. The music brought change for women and in thus changed society.
