What are some myths around sexual assault?
Some Reminders
Consent cannot be given:
- Under the age of consent (18 in CA)
- Under the threat of violence or other forms of coercion
- When someone has a mental or physical situation that prevents them from fully understanding the act
- When intoxicated (we'll talk about this more)
- Feeling uncomfortable is not always a bad thing!
- Consent, sex, and sexual assault are sensitive topics. If you feel triggered, please feel free to leave for a bit to get some air or water!
- This should be a safe space! As always, respect your sisters and their experiences/stories/opinions.
- For some of you this is new, for some it's review, and we can all learn from each other.
- If you have any questions for us, we are always here to talk! :)
