napoleon then was first exiled in the island of elba but in less than a year he escaped and regained power in france where he went to war and lost in the battle of waterloo in june 1815
after losing the batte of waterloo he was then exiled to the island of saint helena where he spent his last six years under confinement by the British then died in 1821 in exile.
