Objective

Social

Methodical

My top three preferred methods are methodical, Social, and objective.

Methodical people are those who like to work according to clear rules and organizational methods and have set routines. People who are methodical also prefer working under the supervision of professionals who give a certain procedure. Furthermore, people who fall under this category favor working on one thing until finished.

Objective people like working with tools and machinery and often like repairing or assembling things using established techniques. People who are objective are interested in finding out how things work and operate.

People who are social like dealing with people. They like providing care for others and assisting others with their needs. Social people like work that requires some sort of interpersonal contact.

Work Preference

Audio Prosthetist

Audio Prosthetist (continued)

The reason why this appealed to me the most is because it fits well with how I want to work. Medics is where I want to go and being an Audio Prosthetist requires some kind of medical knowledge. Also this job involves helping others, another key thing that I want to have in my job. I know prosthetists in general are those replace body parts that are lost by fitting artificial limbs or body parts inside patients' bodies, and I find this to be really engaging to me.

Of all the example careers, the career that appealed to me the most was audio prosthetists. The job of an audio prosthetist is to diagnose, evaluate, and treat hearing disorders. They examine different types of hearing aid that is required. Audio Prosthetists are employed in places such as hospitals, public health centers, and day clinics.

Interests

Visual (continued)

Visual

I am a visual learner. I learn best when information is presented to me in a visual form such as notes or pictures or diagrams. One thing that shows that I am a visual learner is the fact that I like making notes myself for topics for e.g. when the teacher is talking about something important, I might write down notes using a paper and pen.

Because I'm a visual learner, I don't really like listening to long lectures and I would rather read the textbook or material pertaining to the topic. Quite often, I read the section in the textbook that is about to be taught before it is taught and this helps me learn better because I can get an idea of what it is that will be taught during the lesson.

Being a visual learner, I can also easily visualize spoken and read material. For example, when reading a novel, I imagine what it is that I am reading to better understand the situation or scenario.

After filling out the interest chart, I found out that the interest categories that had the most checked boxes were the "Hands on" and "People" categories.

Job examples

  • Artist

I like helping people and often enjoy be the leader of group projects or assignments. I have helped many of my peers and colleagues with their homework and work in other courses before but of the subjects that I give help to others the most is mathematics. I also take into account hearing other people's opinions and thoughts and enjoy conversing with others. From these stuff, I can definitely describe my self as a "People person".

Because I'm a hands on person, I like working physically with my hands and doing stuff with the use of my body. I would rather make something than read a book. In the past I haven't really had any interests in reading books but I often liked making stuff such as a wooden hinge, or crafting models. I found great pleasure in building these objects and this supports the fact that I am a "Hands on person."

  • Journalist

Linguistic (word smart)

Being linguistic is a part of me. I really like writing and studying about literature. In my middle school I took part in the spelling be and also helped create the first spelling bee when in elementary school. Something that proves that I am linguistic is that I took french classes from grade 5 to present, learning french as a second language. I also spend time learning arabic in a weekly basis. I also like reading school textbooks to get an insight of what I am learning or about to learn. These all help prove that I am linguistic.

Skills

Logical (number smart)

From looking at the chart, you can tell that I am also Logical. I am very familiar with numbers and comfortable with solving word problems containing numbers and numerical problems such as equations and expressions. When it comes to tracking, for example, exercise, I use numbers efficiently to track the number or repetitions in a specific amount of sets to view my progress over time.

Intrapersonal

Top 5 Skills

Planning

Intrapersonal is also another one of my top intelligences. I have a good understanding of my strengths and weaknesses and have a general awareness of myself. I know how best to execute the task of completing homework, for example french and mathematics are usually the homework I start with first, any homework that involves reading chapters or pages I leave it to the last. I understand my strengths and weaknesses so for example, because I am good at mathematics, I spend less time on doing the work and homework compared to another subject which I am lees good at e.g. English which I would take more time and seek more assistance.

Planning is something I take into account everyday. I always plan before I do something or start a task. When I receive an assignment or culminating, I create a plan in my mind of how to execute the task in order for me to complete the task on time.

Memorizing

My top 5 skills are: Planning, Memorizing, Scheduling, Teaching, and organizing.

Memorizing is another skill I consider to be the top. When it comes to memorizing, I memorize efficiently and productively in a methodical manner. In the past I have memorized a multiple definitions straight off a textbook and french and arabic vocabulary.

Scheduling

Scheduling is another skill which I am good at. I like to make appointments and schedule events ahead of time instead of waiting for the last moment to book a meeting. I mainly schedule for help sessions with teachers or for social gatherings with my friends.

Teaching

Another skill which I am strong at is teaching. I like teaching and helping others with school related work or simply other informational subjects such as healthy living. I have helped many of my classmates with homework and tasks related to mathematics and computers and many of those whom I've helped benefited someway from my aid.

Organizing

Job examples

Another good skill that I have is organizing. I find this to be the most useful skill because when all my belongings are organized, I can easily locate and use materials and other goods because everything is in their designated places. I use the skill of organizing in a day to day basis such as the use of dividers in my binder and keeping writing utensils in their correct places which are easily accessible.

My top three Intelligences are: linguistic, Intrapersonal, and logical.

5 things I like to do

5 things are important to me

There are a number of things that are really important to me. Doing well at school is something that is crucial in my life. I believe that doing well at school reflects your learning done at school which can in turn help you with your career. Cleanliness is also something that I take into account. Something that I hold dear is fulfilling the needs of my parents. My parents have helped me from an early age and its an obligation on me to return the favor on them. Not hurting others' feelings is also something meaningful to me. Lastly, sleeping on time is a big factor in my life and it's something I try to accomplish daily.

Five things I like doing are: number one, exercising. I love exercising and I do it around six days a week. I like playing video games too from time to time however I don't play video games often. Doer (continued)

Doer (continued

My main career type is "Doer". Doers like working practical hands on problems and have a fairly realistic interest area. Doers enjoy building, fixing, and operating with machinery and working outdoors and for the most part these apply to me. I love working in the design and technology lab and enjoy building small objects.

Doers also prefer not working in places where a lot of paperwork is required. Doers like working in places where a physical result is seen from their efforts.

Some sample careers for doers include being a firefighter, a mechanical engineer, a forester and an airplane pilot.
