Loyalties

Romes Military Experience Recap

The Romans developed a conquest-based civilization because, they were given limited resources, so they could either kill and have power or be killed. They gained power quickly and took over the Mediterranean sea.

  • The Germanic Goths and Barbarians became a problem as they showed very little loyalty to the Empire.
  • They often turned against their own Roman peers.
  • Although that same problem occurred, the barbarians got paid with fake money.
  • They turned against Rome and attacked.

Military Loss

When the inflation happened, employees started getting paid fake money. They hated the system and most quit. The Empire needed a new legion so they hired foreign mercenaries.

New Recruits

Romans recruited Germanic Goths and barbarians to help with their military. They were amazing fighters however, they had little to no loyalty for the empire and turned against employees.
