I (Mrs. Wright) will be your child's ELA (Reading, Language Arts, Writing)

- Received Bachelor's degree from University of Mobile
- Received Master's Degree from Troy University
- I am highly qualified
- Has worked at Sun Valley for 18 years
- Served as Sun Valley's Lead Math Techer for 4 years
- Served as grade level chair for 6 years
- Teacher of the Year 2008
- Happily married with 3 Children (Jordan 16-11th grade and Londyn Skye-6th grade Tylar-18 Freshman at Miles College)
- I love to travel, read, decorate, cook, and bake
- I was born to teach!!

Expectations
Instructional Approach
All students learn differently! Therefore,
lessons are differentiated and different instructional modalities are used in order
to ensure your child's learning success.
- Progress Folders are sent home weekly (Tuesdays). This may vary during holidays.
- Please review grades carefully in students' folders and on STI
- Excuse Notes (Please contact the teacher if these become excessive
- Please sign and return folders on Wednesday

Students are expected to:
- Follow all classroom and school rules
- Adhere to PBIS which is an outline of the Vikings Oath. (Incentives)
- Turn in all assignments in a punctual manner
- Work hard to achieve your very best
- Abide by the dress code guidelines and other policies outlined in the Code of Conduct
- Adhere to cell phone expectations as outlined in the Code of Conduct
- Set high expectations for themselves
- Come to school ready to learn!!
By using this approach, we increased our reading proficiency by 14% ranking Sun Valley #3 in the district. The two other schools that ranked above us are magnet schools.
