Gas Exchange
How does the alveoli and capillaries work together?
Structure of a alveoli
The blood flows through the capillaries then they exchange the co2 for oxygen.
On the outside they look like grape but on the inside it looks like a beehive.
How gas exchange occurs?
Structure of capillaries
When oxygen enters the blood stream and carbon dioxide leaves the blood stream. This exchange of gasses occurs at the cellular level through diffusion in the alveoli.
Basely it is like a pipe letting red blood cells go through.
