Atlas
Hermaphroditus
Atlas was a Titan who fought against Zeus and the olympians. Since the Titans lost, Zeus gave them each a punishment and Atlas' punishment was to bear the weight of the world on his shoulders. In healthcare, the Atlas vertebrae has to bear the weight of the skull, just like Atlas.
Argus
Hermaphroditus was Aphrodites handsome son. A nymph named Salmacis fell in love with him but once he rejected her, she prayed to the gods that they never seperated. Then their bodies merged and they became one. The medical term for someone who has male and female genitals is a "hermaphrodite" and it comes from the story of Hermaphroditus and Salmacis.
In Greek mythology, Argus was a giant watchman with a hundred eyes. Argus Security Projects Ltd. is an international security company. This company most likely alluded to Argus to make thier customers feel like as if they had their own watchman protecting them and their families.
Apollo
Ajax
Apollo was the god of many things. He was considered the ideal of male beauty. This company is about beauty and health so they alluded to Apollo because he is a well known god for strength, health, and beauty.
Ajax was a Greek warrior in the Trojan War. According to the Iliad, only Achilleus was a better warrior than Ajax.
Ajax is a brand of cleaning products. Their slogan is "stronger than grease" which could be a pun to Greece. Since the Greeks won the Trojan War, it could be saying that their product is even stronger than the winning army so that people will buy their product.
