- Very competitive to become a officer since there must be a balanced ratio of officers
- During peace time the demand is not very high
- During war time the demand is higher
- But overall since the millitary is expanding the demand for officers is also expanding
Lifestyle
- When on duty you must live on the Base
- Must follow all U.S. military guidelines and rules
- You move around the world a lot and very unexpectedly
- Depending on nature of war or peace work hours can be very long
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in the following: Science, Humanities, Social Sciences, Engineering or Mathematics
- Pass the AFOQT
- 1.5 years of training at Maxwell Air Force Base
Job Description
- Surveillance's ground or sea from use of drones or satellites
- Maps out mission for ground troops, Navy, or pilots
- Supervise intelligence deptartment
- "Eye in the sky" for ground troops/civilians
Salary
- Everyone starts out as a 2nd Lieutenant
- $35,668 is starting pay per year and can increase with work experince and rank increase
