Kingdom: Animalia
There are many different kinds of animals, from ones that live in the arctic and ones that live in the desert.
As you see in the video there are many different animals all around the world.
- Largest kingdom
- Multicellular organisms
- consumers- must eat for energy
- oveer 1 million known species
- They can move around to help them get food
- Eat other animals and plants
Kingdom: Fungi
Kingdom: Protists
- most are multicellular
- include mold, mildew, and mushrooms
- some ar important to ecosystems
- some cause diseases such as ring worm or athletes foot
- some are used as food
Kingdom: Eu bacteria
- Most are microscopic organisms that aren't plants, animals, bacteria, or fungi.
- Most are single celled organisms
- a better name for them is eukaryotes that are neither plants nor animals. protozoa and amoeba
- protozoa and amoeba are examples of protists
- its like the "odds and ends" kingdom
There are man different types of fungi
An Amoeba eating a paramecium
- second oldest form of life
- single celled organisms
- no nucleus
- E. Coli, streptococcus, staphylococcus, and lactobacillus are examples.
- there are 3 different shapes of bacteria; cocci, bacilli, and spirilli
Kingdom: Archaebacteria
Plants need fertile soil, water, oxygen, and sunlight to grow.
Kingdom Plantae
- oldest form of life
- single celled organism
- no nucleus
- found in extreme environments; such as, volcanic ocean vents, hot springs, arctic climates, and geysers
- can also be found in a cows stomach
- The second largest kingdom.
- They are multi-cellular organisms.
- They are producers or autotrophes, make their own food.
- Found on land containing soil, water, sunlight, and oxygen.
- Without plants , life as we know it wouldn't exist.
