The Great Compromise, which was known as the Connecticut Compromise, was the conclusion of a debate between delegates , in which he decided how was going to be the representation of each estate in the Congress. It was the result of Virginian plan + New Jersey plan

The Great Compromise at the Constitutional Convention 1787 finished the problem about congressional representation by setting a two-branch legislature with each state represented equally in the Senate.

The Great Compromise

The type of state that benefited from the Connecticut Compromise were bigger states like California or Texas which representation in the senate were bigger than other smaller states.

The proposal came from Roger Sherman, a Superior Court Judge of Connecticut. Sherman's Connecticut Compromise, outlined a system for representatives in both a proportional House and an equally represented Senate.
