During this era, society was ruled by a fuedal caste system. This era was known as the "Dark Ages," and this was because people lived horribly. Many were raised to believe that if you just worked hard, you would go to heaven. There was no sense of humanism. Another reason for this is because people suffered from many hardships, such as famine, invaders, and diseases such as the Bubonic Plague, or the Black Death.

During the Northern Renaissance, ideas from Italy spread North to places like England. Johann Gutenberg was a big part of the spread, as he created the first mechanical printing press which enabled people to print things like books, which allowed ideas to travel quickly.

The Scientific Revolution led to a new way of thinking about the natural world. Scientists discovered new theories about how the world works based on careful observation. An example of this was Isaac Newton. He discovered gravity, among some things, and this greatly changed the way people viewed the world around us.

The American Revolution began when the American colonies of Great Britain declared their independence from England, which led to the American Revolutionary War. America won the war, and broke off from England to form the United States of America. America drafted the American Constitution and the Bill of Rights, which gives Americans their basic rights.

The Renaissance encouraged Europeans to have a new spirit of adventure and curiosity. This led to a desire to explore the world around them. The reasons this era grew strong were because of the "three G's" God, Glory, and Gold. This means the desire to spread religion, to bring glory to one's homeland, and to make money. Exploration led to a lot of trade between different countries and to the discovery of new lands.

American Revolution is the liberty and freedom from Britain. Also the American Revolution inspires the French Revolution.
