Thermal Pollution
What IS thermal Pollution?
thermal pollution is hot water or waste
from places like factories that gets
dumped into bodies of water and can kill life that lives there :(
Enviromental Impacts
When the thermal pollution sits in a body of water, it evaporates the oxygen and the wildlife in the water is not able to breathe. temperatures of only 1 or 2 degrees celsius can make a change.
Advantages:-)
-There aren't many
advantages to thermal
pollution, but one
is that the
water around electricity
plants in
florida that release the
pollution is so warm that
manatees use it for
warmth and shelter.
)-:disadvantages
-The heat from the water
evaporates the oxygen. this kills marine life and brings down entire eco systems. It also makes the water just
plain unclean:( Pollution can affect living things like plants, animals, and humans greatly. The Pollution with all the gases, fumes, and such, can affect us and plants by making us very sick, or setting off any allergies we may have, causing sickness.
Thermal Pollution and
The Economy:-0
When thermal pollution becomes too much, and starts affecting us, Someone has to pay to clean it up.
Also, thermal Pollution is good for the companies that create it because they don't have to pay to properly clean it up, they can just dump it.
thermal pollution: history
How In Can Help The Future!
There is a power plant in california
that gradually lets off the pollution instead
of all at once, which decreases fish kills.
Also enviromental and chemical engineers work to remove the thermal pollution. this shows signs of people working towards getting rid of thermal pollution. i DECIDED TO HELP GET RID OF THERMAL POLLUTION SO THAT the WORLD CAN BECOME A BETTER PLACE. I WOULD LIKE FOR THE COMMUNITY TO COME TOGETHER AND HAVE EVERYONE CLEAN UP MESS! One step at a time.
other interesting facts!!!!
ways you can prevent thermal pollution are...
-waste less elctricity
-limit the amount of waste and hot water dumped into the ocean at a time.
