Maritime: What is Maritime

Maritime is the climate typical of the west coasts at the middle latitudes of most continents, and generally features warm summers and cool winters, with a relatively narrow annual temperature range.

Continental: what is continental

Temperate continental climates are found on continents

in the Northern Hemisphere between 40o -70o. Climate in

these areas are controlled by the fact that they are not located

near oceans where temperatures are moderate.

Maritime Animals

Plants of Maritime Climate

Some of the tree species found here are western red cedar, yellow cedar, western hemlock, mountain hemlock, western yew, coast Douglas fir, and the grand fir.

Some animals in Maritime time climate are the black-tailed deer, mule deer, elk, moose, caribou and mountain goat just to name a few.

Continental Animals
