White Tigers

Tigers are carnivores. They eat sambar, frogs, fish, buffalo, porcupines, monkeys, monitor lizards, snakes, and deer.Sometimes tigers will eat berries, grass, and fruits. They learn to hunt from there mothers, when they are only a few months old.They prefer to hunt alone.They like to stalk there pray and wait for the perfect moment to pounce.When they pounce they use there front claws to grab the pray by it's neck, shoulder, and/or back. As it pulls it's pray to the ground, it uses it's jaw to break their prey's neck.

White Tigers are very rare. One in 10,000 Tigers are white.White Tigers are a variant of the Bengal Tiger. In order for a white tiger to be born both parents have to carry a unusual gene that makes their babies white.Several hundred White Tigers are in captivity worldwide, while about a hundred are in the wild.The White Tiger population is on the rise.

Habitat

The tiger lives in Asia. However there habitat has been rapidly decreasing. Tigers look for three things when seeking a place to live cover to camouflage themselves, water, and prey. Tigers tend to live alone depending on themselves for survival. Tigers like to mark there territory by spraying urine on trees.

Tigers use fangs and claws to hunt and kill their prey.Tigers use claws to grip their meal and to tear apart their prey.

Bengal tigers have retractable claws so when they're not hunting their claws are in their paws.

Tigers have a unique pattern

of stripes on their backs. They use these stripes as camoflouge to sneak up on their prey, to stalk, and

hide too.
