- 789: Morocco was unified.
- 1040-1269: Morocco was in control of the Maghreb and Spain.
- August 4, 1578: Morocco fought off the Portuguese and Ottoman invaders in the Battle of Ksar El Kebir.
- 1578: Ahmad al-Mansur ushered in the Golden Age of Morocco.
- 1603: Ahmad al-Mansur died, dividing his kingdom among his sons
- 1666: The kingdoms were reunited.

- 1684: The Black Guard removed the English from Tangier.
- 1689: The Black Guard did the same to the Spanish in Larache.

- March 2, 1956: Morocco gained independence from France.
