A patient would need topical chemotherapy if they had some form of skin cancer.
Topical chemotherapy is usually applied directly on the patients skin as either a cream or lotion.
Although the cream or lotion is used to help sometimes it can make the patients skin turn red, itch, ooze, or develop a rash.
Topical chemotherapy is usually used when the skin cancer is too large for surgery or when new cancerous cells are found.
If you had skin cancer and did not have access to topical chemotherapy you would be okay because there's different kinds of treatments for skin cancer such as surgery, radiation, etc
Skin cancer is more common in males then it is in females. People tend to develop skin cancer in there early 40's.
Topical chemotherapy is used to help fix a patients skin cancer although it does not always get rid of all of the cancer cells, it helps to kill of cancer cells.
Skin cancer can be caused by not protecting your skin from the sun.
The procedure for topical chemotherapy can be done by a doctor or the patient themselves. Since all that the treatment is, is a lotion or cream that has to be applied 2-3 times a day for several weeks.
All that is needed for this procedure is the cream or lotion your doctor has prescribed to you.
Before applying the lotion or cream whoever is putting it on must sterilize their hands or wear gloves.
The only real risk of using topical chemotherapy cream is some of the outcomes that may occur such as getting a rash or sore skin.
Topical chemotherapy can be embarrassing since it may leave rashes on your skin. It can also be annoying since your skin can become very itchy
Chemotherapy itself is not painful its what can happen after that may be painful such as soreness to your skin especially when in the sun.
Personally I do not think topical chemotherapy would be effective if I had skin cancer I would most likely just get the surgery done so that its gone pretty much for sure and I don't have to go through getting a rash and my skin sore most of the time
I do not think that i would want any of my family to have the topical chemotherapy treatment. Although if it was absolutely needed I would say having a rash is better then having cancer cells.
