What Changed Her L ife
When Tori Was 14 years old everything changed. A large/huge mass started to grow in her stomach. No Doctor in Southern California knew, or could figure out what was growing in her stomach. After many MRI, blood tests, and ultrasounds test doctors decided that it was time for magor surgery. After a 3-hour long nerve racking surgery and an analysis of a tumor that night, she was diagnosed with a rare ovarian cancer.

What She Dose To Change Other life's
- After surviving two bouts with cancer, Tori has become committed to volunteering and sharing her story. As lead ambassador to the Make a Wish Foundation, she speaks at events several times a month. She is dedicated to the Make A Wish Foundation for its ability to foster a community of strength and love.
- Tori also finds time to participate in the annual Relay for Life event in Laguna Beach, California.
- She believes, "If you keep smiling, then other people around you will do the same thing, and it will all turn out better in the end."

Have you ever wondered what it would be like to have cancer? And how your life would desperately change? Tori Degen’s life changed dramatically when she was only fourteen years old. The summer of 2001 was planned to be spent in Mexico, surfing every day, and relaxing with her friends on the shore's of Mexico. Instead, it was spent in the hospital having round after round of chemotherapy. Tori Degen is a very strong and courageous woman because she survived cancer twice, helps out in her community, and she is a positive female role model.
