Makers of Whittaker's Chocolate

History of Whittaker's chocolate

James Henry Whittaker was the one that first got a taste for the chocolate when he was working for a confectioner in England, at the age of 14. He came to New Zealand at 1890 and began to make this chocolate himself. The current Whittaker's chocolate makers is the forth generation, their names are Holly and Matt Whittaker.

J.H Whittaker has started making his own chocolate and he would sell it in a van and he would sell it door to door. In 1913, his sons Ronald and James started to help him. Business took off over the years, with the chocolates being eagerly bought by more and more People.

Today the company is still owned and run by the Whittaker family. In fact, they reckon they still have all the passion for chocolate along with all this unique experience.

A KAHOOT

About K-Bar

The Whittaker's K-Bar chocolate is their newest product, that's why we decided to do a bit of research on that. The whittaker's first started making K bars in 1958. It's fair to say they've been popular ever since. Always a tough chew, but always worth it (even after the trip to the dentist they say). So now, they made their latest collaboration. This K Bar Block has the smooth 5 roll refined creamy milk chocolate combined with delicious pineapple, lime and raspberry K-bar. In a softer, Flowing, somewhat less jaw-breaking form.

"There is possibly nothing more that needs to be invented ever."
