Ethics is not a straight forward matter and depending on what ethical system guides you as a teacher will depend on how you respond to situation. ( Tait, 2013)
By understanding Normative and Meta-Ethics,
teachers can begin to see what motivate them to make certain decisions and choices (Tait, 2004).

Even though Teachers face many different ethical dilemmas in modern schooling, they have a certain level of influence on children and children on a daily basis observe how their teachers respond to situations, what they believe in and how they live their lives.
As in the case L vs Minister for Education (Tait, 2004) – the result can be interpreted to according to different ethical systems. L’s discrimination according to consequential ethics was for the greater good yet according to Kantian Ethics it is morally wrong to discriminate against L.
There are many ethical dilemmas that teachers continues to face in modern schooling such as Mandatory reporting, Duty of care, Risk management, exclusion of troublesome students ect. (Tait, 2013).

2.The Categorical Imperative
3.The practical Imperative

Virtue ethics focuses on character traits, rather than action (Tait, 2013).
You learn to be virtuous (Tait, 2004).
Teachers try to be ethical but the boundary
between right and wrong is blurred and
depends on many individual factors like;
guides you as a teacher will depend how
