Embryonic and Fetal Human Rights

Why are these Violations Permitted?

Criminal Law Amendment Act 1968-69

R. V. Morgentaler (1988)

This controversial act was passed on may 15, 1969 which legalized abortion only to protect a mothers mental and physical well-being. Due to its vague definition to "mental and physical well-being, this law generally legalized abortion since any case could be talking about a mothers health.

After the criminal law amendment act of 1968-69 restricted abortions only to health problems, R. V. Morgentaler, a doctor, ignored the restrictions and preformed abortions to anyone who asked. He eventually got arrested and was put in prison for a few years. After his sentencing, Morgentaler appealed to the supreme court about his case. After the court dates, the supreme court struck down the restrictions stated in the criminal law amendment act. The supreme court wanted another law on abortion with restrictions but parliament ignored them, leaving abortion decriminalized.

Embryo

An embryo is an unborn offspring in the process development, in particular a human offspring during the period from about the second to the eighth week after fertilization.

The deliberate termination of a human pregnancy, most often preformed between the first 28 weeks of pregnancy. In 2015, there were over 100 000 abortions in Canada and around 500 cases per day. In any other circumstances other than that of an unborn child, this would be considered first degree murder resulting in a maximum of 10 years in prison.

A fetus is an unborn vertebrate especially after attaining the basic structural plan of its kind. it is an unborn human from usually two months after conception

1. The main participants in violating these rights are the unborn child's parents who chose to have the abortion.

2. Obviously abortionists play a huge role in these violations as well since they conduct the procedures.

3. Finally the scientists who destroy embryos and research their stem cells also violate the

rights of these unborn children.

Embryonic Stem Cell Research

Embryonic stem cell research is usually taken place two weeks after an abortion. Scientists destroy the embryo simply to attain their stem cells. Unfortunately, embryonic stem cell research has cured 0 diseases to date but is still being preformed. Another popular method of stem cell research is with adults, which causes no harm and has cured over 80 diseases.
