- It is the transitional period in Philippine Literature from the American Style to the Modern Style
- Filipinos, at this time, learned how to express themselves more confidently.

Problems
In 1950s. the Guerilla Warfare, also known as Hukbalahaps (Hukbong Bayan Laban sa Hapon) is causing problems in government. But in the Magsaysay Administration, the Hukbalahap is vanished, neutralized or gone.
