Ranhill Powertron Group is a primary independent power producer in Sabah with the total power generating capacity of 380MW.
The Gas-Fired Combined Cycle Power Plants of Ranhill Powertron Sdn Bhd and Ranhill Powertron II Sdn Bhd, both located at Kota Kinabalu Industrial Park, Sepangar, Sabah, are currently generating at full capacity of total 380MW, contributing 43% to the maximum load demand to the Sabah Grid. The Group is the largest contributor to the power requirements of Sabah Electricity Sdn Bhd.
It has contributed to the economic development and growth in Sabah by attracting small medium investors with the assurance of a reliable, economical and uninterruptible electricity power supply. It takes pride of its impressive achievements of the existing power plants and will continue to explore its contributions to Sabah while considering foreign opportunities.
The power plant operators, Ranhill Power O & M Sdn Bhd and Ranhill Power II O & M Sdn Bhd provide Operation & Maintenance services to the Group’s power plants and are responsible for the overall efficient operation of the Plants subject to compliance with the key performance indicators.
