Do Now: (3 min) Think about the drafting tools we learned about and used in our last class.
1. What tool do we use to draw horizontal lines?
2. What tool do we use to draw vertical lines?
3. Should we use the T-square to measure? Why or why not?
4. Do you agree with the following statement? Why or why not? "In drafting, the pencil is used more often than the eraser?"
Line Exercises
Part 1 - create a drafting template with border and title block.
Part 2 - With your template:
- Draw ten horizontal lines - 1/4" spacing.
- Draw ten vertical lines - 1/4" spacing.
- Draw 10 45º lines - 1/4" spacing.
- Five grid lines (horizontal & vertical) - 1/4" spacing - alternate light and dark.
