what is a "desert sink"?
TOPOGRAPHY
- high plateaus
- the only desert in Canada
- rivers (that do not run into the ocean)
- the water from the rivers disapear into "desert sinks"
What does the land look like?
do you see the small pool of water?
the water has no where to go!! it can't go to the ocean so it creates a "sink" of water in the middle of the desert!
the summers are hot and dry

a flat area with a high elevation
