She follows secret jocastas carved by Renny Warvold, Thomas Warvold's late wife, she discovers a secret tunnel in the library and gets in with the key. Alexa goes into the wild and meets, a man 3 feet tall, named Yipes. He shows her where to find a magic stone that helps her talk to animals, and takes her to meet some. They show her a secret band of convicts that are planning to overthrow Bridewell. Their leader is aconvict named Sebastian and Alexa needs to find out who it is before it is too late. After a clue from an old book and another couple of jocastas they find out that is is their trusted friend Ganesh. They devise a plan to capture the convicts and end up taking out the wall.

I really loved this book and I would recommend it to anyone that will listen.
Main Characters
The Main Characters in this book are 12 year-old Alexa Daley and her friends: Murphy the squirrel, Darius the Wolf, and Yipes the three foot man. Then there is her father and his colleagues: Silas, Ganesh, Nicolas, Warvold, Grayson, and Pervis the nosy head guard. Not to mention the pet cats Sam and Pepper.
