Formation of the Blizzard
- 4,000 people

Three things required:
1. Air cold at surface
2. Atmosphere has to have a lot of moisture
3. Lift that causes warm air to lift over cold
Add strong winds and snow and a blizzard is formed
Blizzard defined as a storm that has:
- large amounts of snow or blowing snow
- winds surpassing 35mph
- visibilities less than 1/4 mile for at least 3 hours
