This painting is different from both of the previous versions. This painting is ornate and busy which detracts from the spirituality of the event.

This version is much darker then da Vinci's. The use of dramatic darks and lights contrasting was popular during the Baroque period.

Madonna and Child by Giotto

Bella Matribus Detesata by Rouault (1927) was inspired by Renaissance and Baroque era versions of Madonna and child

This version is different from the other two. This painting from the Baroque period depicts Mary and Jesus in bland colors but their halos are more defined compared to the two before.
