Oak Grove City High School Food Court

Restaurant #1: Taco Villa

  • We understand that there are many parents concerned their child’s health, we need to make sure that we submit to what the students want.
  • Taco Villa would bring a good amount of money in profits to Oak Grove at around most prices and at most $135 per day.
  • It is healthier than many of the other options and more profitable.

Restaurant #2: Veggie Vittles

  • It provides a great option for students who are part of the Vital Vegetarians club or have allergies.
  • It would resolve the concerns of environmentalist Alex Muir as well as the Cash's and the PTA because it is environmentally friendly and healthy.

The 5 Restaurants We Chose Are...

Restaurant #3: Sally's

  • We have chosen restaurants that meet all the needs of the board members.
  • The restaurants we chose are profitable, beneficial to, the school, environmentally friendly, or healthy.
  • We hope the board can agree on our selections so that the food court can be a success at Oak Grove
  • They offer healthy, yet delicious alternatives for lunch.
  • This healthy restaurant option meets the requests of Edith Cash and the PTA.
  • This restaurant is not expensive, so meets the requests of Ms. Loer to have restaurants for students who can't afford expensive food.

For Oak Grove City High School’s new food court, our job as Student Body was to decide which restaurants were going to be included. This was a difficult decision because there are a wide variety of people who are affected by and have opinions about the restaurants. Between students who enjoy fast food, parents who want to ensure that their children are eating healthy, and the opinions of town citizens who support the school financially, we attempted to pick restaurants that would please everyone.

Restaurant #4: Borscht Palace

  • The diversity of the foodis something the Galloping Gourmets club will enjoy.
  • We realize that it is not the most profitable, but we appreciate Mrs. Stravinsky and all that she does for our school.
  • She wants to cook her native food in the school and we want to include her to show our appreciation.

Restaurant #5: Wildcat's Den

  • Reasonably priced food that profits the school.
  • It fits the needs of Ms. Muir to have restaurants that all students can afford.
  • It gives students experience in the workforce, which was something that was important to Rita Price, the executive director of the Grove Area School-to-Work program.
