Emily Wilding Davison
- Emily was a very famous suffragette.
- She faced 9 prison sentences and force-feeding.
- Her most famous act was at Epsom Downs Derby in 1913.

'The Baby Suffragette'
- Organizing Secretary of WSPU.
- Editor of The Suffragette (a type of newspaper for women).
- Got a degree in Law but could not practice because she was a woman.
- went to prison twice and then ran away to Paris where she continued to fight for women's rights.
Sylvia
- Dora was one of the youngest Suffragettes, (only 17), so was known as 'The Baby Suffragette'.
- She came from a middle-class background as most other Suffragettes.
- She was arrested for protesting, spent 6 days in prison and then taken to court.
- She was dismissed by the judge because she was too young.
- “Don’t call me the ‘Baby Suffragette' I am not a baby really. In May next year I shall be eighteen years of age. Surely for a girl that is a good age?”

- Honorary Secretary, organizer, speaker and author.
- Provided art work for the WSPU, e.g. pictures for The Suffragette.
- she fought mainly for working women to have the vote. Her mother Emmeline and sister Cristabel disagreed with her and she was expelled form the WSPU (1914).

Emmeline Pankhurst
- In 1909 Emmerline became the leader of the Suffragettes.
- They created the WSPU (Women's Social and Political Union).
- They argued for the equal political treatment of women and to secure the vote for women.
- She was arrested many times and wen on many hunger strikes.
