There are so much people out there in the world who have captured their beautiful moment on a camera from videos to selfies!
BUT
They don't seem to know a single thing about the history of photography. I bet you don't even know the name of the man who created the first camera!
Photography is most known for capturing it's beauty often on the camera
WHAT IS PHOTOGRAPHY?
Photography
Photography comes from two ancient Greek words photo, for light, and graph, for drawing. With the invention of photography, a realistic image that would have taken a skilled artist hours or even days to draw could be recorded in exact detail within a fraction of a second. Today, photography has become a powerful matter of communication and a visual expression that touches human life in many ways.
HELIOGRAPH/SUNPRINT
Despite how horrendous the idea
of chalk and mixture of silver sounded; this was the evolution of photography.
This is the sliding box that captured the first photograph.
It wasn't considered the official camera but it definitely was something!
who?
THERE are tons of people who have expanded their piece of history to the camera but who really was the creator and founder of them all?
Joseph Nicéphore Niépce was the founder of the FIRST photograph. He took the very first photograph with a sliding box that could capture images by using a mixture of silver and chalk exposed under a light source.
With the help of Louis Daguerre; both men were able to improve the works of photography.
This is the first photograph taken in 1826. This is the view from Niépce's window.
Continuation of how it affects society
Photography as we know it today began in the late 1830s in France when Joseph Nicéphore Niépce used a portable camera obscura to expose a pewter plate coated with bitumen (Asphalt) to light.
In 1839, John Herschel came up with a newer idea to replace Niépce's idea. Herschel wanted to use negatives replacing the metal technique thus spiraling photography's popularity.
When did the Photography first begin?
Photography was first developed in the 1800s. It started with Daguerre who invented a light sensitive emulsion on glass, then Joseph Nicephore Niepce began experimenting with photography.
WHEN?
Photographers use their cameras as tools of exploration, passports to inner sanctums, instruments for change. Their images are proof that photography matters now more than ever. It also captures life's beautiful moments. It allowed people to see things they might never see.
Where?
How does it affect today's society?
