Pros

  • High range in animation
  • Images used in presentations do not appear pixellated
  • Considered to be a very functional application

So, which is better?

Cons

  • Not webbased
  • To access sides, the user must email presentation to a computer with the matching version
  • It is more challenging to add audio components
  • In April of 2009, developers Adam Somlai-Fischer and Peter Halacsy launched Prezi

Each application has its benefits and downfalls. When in need of something more functional with access to characters and animations, choice PowerPoint. When in need of something easily accessible and sharable, choice Prezi.

  • Webbased, meaning presentations can be worked on anywhere there is Internet
  • The presentations are more than a 'traditional' slideshow
  • Presentations can be delivered via any web connected computer

Cons

  • Lacks range of animations
  • Because of the zooming in on slides, images must be high in resolution, otherwise they appear pixellated
  • Prezi is not as functional
