Participants
Child and parent volunteer
Child—9 year old girl who is home-schooled
Maintains average to slightly above-average grades
Oral Fluency is Lacking—lacks vocabulary to properly express herself

Instructional Level Text for Each Student
Procedure
Student will be given Interest Inventories and BRI to gauge genre interest and instructional level
Parent will be trained in facilitating Dialogic Reading (3 types of interactions)
Parent will conduct D.R. for 20 minutes a session, 3 times a week, recording times and anecdotal notes in given logbook
Student will be given DIBELS WUF assessment and D.R. interest survey
Quantitative and Qualitative Results will be compared by researcher and analyzed to address effectiveness as well as anecdotal concerns.
