Tropical Evergreen Forests
An evergreen forest is a forest consisting entirely or mainly of evergreen trees that retani green foliage all year round. Such forests reign the tropics primarily as broadleaf evergreens, and in temperate and boreal latitudes primarily as coniferous evergreens.
Tropical evergreen forests are usually found in areas receiving more than 200 cm of rainfall and having a temperature of 15 °C to 30 °C. They occupy about seven per cent of the Earth's land surface and harbour more than half of the planet's terrestrial plants and animals. The canopy tree species are mostly tall hardwoods with broad leaves that release large quantities of water through transpiration, in a cycle that is important in raising as much mineral nutrient material as possible from the soil. Cloud forests often exhibit an abundance of mosses covering the ground and vegetation.

- Tropical Deciduous Forests
These forest recieve about 50about .Deciduous plants lose their leaves to conserve water or to survive in winter weather conditions, they regrow new foliage during the next suitable growing season; this uses resources which deciduous do not need to expend. Deciduous suffer greater water loss during the winter and they also can experience greater predation pressure, especially when small.
