I am a butterfly

Purple, Red, and more as a rainbow

I fly

I flap

I can migrate

I can blend in

I am a butterfly

If hope could be a color

It would be pink

As pink as a pink starburst

If hope could be a taste

It would taste like a pink starburst

If hope could be a smell

It would be raspberries

If hope could be a sound

It would be birds singing

If hope could be a feeling

It would be happiness

If hope could be an animal

It would be a panda.

I cannot write a sonnet

Or any poetry in fact

When I get home ill make a bonnet

Or maybe join a pact.

This makes my head hurt

I’ll try not to complain

Anymore of writing this dirt

And I’ll go insane.

This is finally over and done

I can go to sleep or even go have fun.

Staring off into space

While I should be paying attention to class

I zone out the teacher

For sure I won’t pass

The dream is so vivid

I could swear it was real

There was a giant bunny

I would soon steal

All of a sudden

I heard this loud bell

I snap of my day dream

I had to leave the magic bunny hotel

I pack up my stuff and put it in my back pack

I smirk because I know that I will soon be back

I don't understand

Hyperbole

I Don’t Understand

I don’t understand

Why poetry is depressing

Why no one is happy

Why I have to write this

But most of all

Why I can’t fly

Why I can’t breathe underwater

Why I’m writing this

What I understand most is

Why I breathe

Why I eat

Why I hate writing this.

She is the fresh laundry still in the drier.

She is a hot home cooked meal after a long day.

She is the wakeup call that never fails to arrive on time.

She is the words of wisdom when I mess up.

She is my mom

I was once so hungry I ate a cow.

The cow was so large it was 10,000 pounds.

I ate it in 5 seconds flat.

After I ate the cow I ran 50,000 miles to burn off the calories.

Then I went to my work and made about 50 bagillion dollars.

I made that much money in about an hour.

I spent that money in about a hour.

Now im so broke homeless people pay me.
