- 90% of the employees at Alba are Bahraini's.
- Alba's ownership: 70% of the company is owned by the Bahraini Government (mumtalakat) 20% SABIC and 10% general public.
- Officially commenced operations in 1971
- At first they produced 120,000 tonnes per annum
- They now produce up to 890,000 tonnes per annum
- 50% of Alba's products are used in Bahrain's industry with the rest exported to regional and international customers in the Middle East, Europe, Far East, South East Asia, Africa, and North America.
