Conscientizar and educate the general population about the importance to preserve, conserve and recover the water , through the exercise of environmental education in order to secure for present and future generations the availability of fresh and clean water on the planet.

Located in the city of Petrópolis - RJ, part of the Serra do Mar and contributor of the Paraiba do Sul River Basin, the Water Project Finance is the main effective tool for NGOs. With areas for educational activities to preserve the environment, leisure, support and volunteer training Farm seeks to be a place template where your visitors are able to interact with the natural resources without degrading them. Its creation stemmed from the need perceived by Water Project team from an area where they could be carried out the actions of NGOs and where participants interact with the environment. The Farm Water Project has 210,000 m2 of extension, and this area 110 000 m2 are intended exclusively for reforestation. The farm has also 32 springs of water cataloged; 4 artificial lakes and 1 natural lake; recreation area, an organic garden and a greenhouse; We are in the process of finishing Studies Center with library, reading room and presentation room; Accommodation; support area; laboratories - oriented research and study in the environmental area .

MISSÃO

Localizada no município de Petrópolis – RJ, inserida na Serra do Mar e contribuinte da Bacia do Rio Paraíba do Sul, a Fazenda Projeto Água é o principal instrumento de efetivação da ONG. Com áreas destinadas a atividades educativas de preservação ao Meio Ambiente, lazer, apoio e treinamento de voluntários a Fazenda procura ser um modelo de lugar onde seus visitantes consigam interagir com os recursos naturais, sem degradá-los. A sua criação partiu da necessidade percebida pela equipe do Projeto Água de uma área onde pudessem ser realizadas as ações da ONG e onde os participantes interagissem com o Meio Ambiente. A Fazenda Projeto Água possui 210 mil m2 de extensão, sendo que desta área, 110 mil m2 são destinados exclusivamente ao reflorestamento. A Fazenda possui ainda, 32 nascentes de águas catalogadas; 4 lagos artificiais e 1 lago natural; área de lazer, uma horta orgânica e uma estufa; estando em fase de acabamento Centro de Estudos com biblioteca, sala de leitura e sala de apresentações; alojamentos; área de apoio; laboratórios – voltados para pesquisa e estudo na área ambiental.

Conscientizar e instruir a população em geral sobre a importância de preservar, economizar e recuperar a água, através do exercício da educação ambiental, de modo a assegurar para atual e futuras gerações a disponibilidade de água doce e limpa no planeta.

Faz-se necessária e urgente a mobilização da sociedade por este problema que se agrava cada vez mais.Pensando nisto, a empresa Carbografite criou em outubro de 2004 a ONG Projeto Água, desenvolvida para instruir a sociedade sobre a importância de preservar, economizar e recuperar os recursos hídricos.O Projeto mostra através de seus programas e da Fazenda Projeto Água que o uso inadequado dos recursos naturais, tem causado diversos reflexos negativos ao equilíbrio do meio-ambiente, e que a mudança de hábito é o melhor caminho para a manutenção da vida na terra.
