Yellow River Valley Civilization
The Shang King ruled from the city of Anyang. The kingdom was divided into territories which were ruled by military rulers.

By 1500 BCE a line of kings called the Shang dynasty took over the yellow river valley. These rulers built huge tombs and palaces, which opposed to the previous lifestyle of simplicity in the river valley. The Shang king was the main ruler, and anything that he said was carried out by the military leaders and citizens.

The Chinese believed in supernatural forces and prayed to gods whenever they needed their help.
The writing in the yellow river valley mostly consisted of scratches of graphic symbols. The Chinese wrote a few books, mostly about music and history.
In the the yellow river valley civilization the Shang king was the supreme leader. He was in charge of the military leaders, who were in charge of the citizens. The king always had the last say.
The Chinese were skilled in pottery, bronze, iron, and coal. They were also very interested in music, and were the first river valley civilization to show interest in it.
