Knights and Samurai, Similar or Different?
Knights and Samurai had very similar armor, which both "weighed" them down a bit. The Samurai had armor with silk inside which was light, but if wet, was extremely heavy. Knights also had very heavy armor which served the same purpose as the Samurai Armor.

In conclusion, the Knights and Samurai, are more alike than dfferent. In ways ranging from Armor, to training, and even to codes.
The Knights and Samurai both had a very similar hierarchy, both served lords, and in exchange for land, they gave the lords military protection. Although their religions were different, they still respected somebody at the top.
I believe Knights and Samurai were more alike than different, because of the age and way they were trained. the concepts of their two codes, and even their armor served the same purpose, and both had downfalls.
Both Knights and Samurai served similar codes. Samurai followed the Bushido code, which made them loyal to their Daimyos, and Knights followed chivalry, which made them kind and loyal.
Although Samurai and Knights had slightly different opinions on death, death for the both of the two was centered around religious reasons, while the Knights based the concept of death on God and the afterlife, Samurai based it on Buddhism.
Both Samurai and Knights started their training at a young age, so young in fact, that every guy in this room would have been a knight or samurai-in-training right now, and the age of 14 was considered a milestone for each Samurai and Knight.
