Rising Action
Falling Action
The falling action is when Yassen is recruted as an assassin for the terrorist group Scorpia. He is sent to malagosto an island off the coast of Venice. He gets trained for combat and self defense.
Climax
Yassen makes it to Moscow and meets Dima. Years later he was a theif and he decides to rob an apartment that was owned by Vladimir Sharvosy. He entered through the fortochka a small window. He was caught and was taken to his private dacha. He will work there for four years as his food taster and will be treated badly. He escaped withe the helicopter pilot and the assassin who attempted to kill Vladimir Sharvosky.
The rising action occurs when the anthrax factory is destroyed the Russian government burned the village down killing everyone but Yassen. He runs away with Leo but Leo dies from the anthrax Yassen burns the building that Leo died in.

Exposition
Antagonists
The exposition starts in A hotel room that Yassen has returned to. He introduces his friend Leo Tretyakov and his past life. Then the story goes back to his early childhood.
The antagonists are Vladimir Sharvosky and Ivan Sharvosky.
Theme
The theme of this book is revenge can be fatal. Yassen gets revenge on Ivan and Sharvosky because of the four years he spent there under bad care. Yassen plays Russian Roulette and kills Sharvosky and Ivan.
Resolution
The resolution is when Yassen returns to Sharvosky's home and kills him and his son Ivan. He leaves and the story returns to present day.
Conflicts
There are many conflcts in thiss book the main conflicts are man versus man and man versus society. Yassen fights both the Sharvoskys. Yassen fights the Russian government because they want to destroy Yassen's home of Estrov.
This is a story of how an assassin became who he is. Yasha Gregorovich who later is know as Yassen which means ash tree in Russian. He lived in a village called Estrov , it was later burned because of the anthrax factory that leaked the virus so the anthrax wouldn't spread. Yassen's mother gave him an antidote. He and his friend Leo Tretyakov escaped but Leo didn't get the antidote and he died on the main road to Kirsk. Yasha made it and the person who was going to take care of him gave him to the police. He escaped and found a kid named Dima. Yasha became a theif and tried to steal from Vladimir Sharvosky a multimillionaire. Vladimir took him to his home and make him his food taster. Yassen would spend four years as Vladimir's food taster.
