-Yellow duck= innocence and light.
-Clear Shampoo= cleansing and enriching, .
- It's all white, so it's showing that the advertisement is clean and so is the product.
The main point of this is the use of the innuendo in the beginning. Giving us the double entendre gives us the chance to think about two ways this the words could be understood. We think of the obvious meaning, but then ad gives us the oblivious meaning and it clears our minds of the sexual manner we probably addressed.
- In this ad we can tell that the other is going for an aspirational appeal as it uses sexual hooks to gain the consumer attention. Now, any consumers mind would go to the deep end when seeing the blank in between the D and C , but the advertisements creative ploy is to get you to get your thoughts clean with Clear Shampoo.
-It's quite obvious that this ad is used to appeal to adults, both female and male, 18 years or older. The use of a sexual innuendo leads our minds to having thoughts in a sexual nature.
Overall Effectiveness:
-I think the ad was very successful at gaining the attention of consumers. The use of sexual innuendo is what draws us in and then the deal is sealed when we clean our dirty thoughts with Clear shampoo.
- The first place we seem to stop and look at is the blank place between the D and C of the ad. Minds will try to figure out this riddle, but just below it the ad completes the unfinished word and says that the word is duck, thus leaving the dirty thoughts alone.
-We are presented big, bold, black, and capitalized letters at the start the ad with a single space in between the D and the C. Just below it is a in a sentence in smaller font but still black capitalized and it says "Nope it's Just a duck.", with a small yellow duck beside it. Then the ad finished with questions of "Feeling dirty?" and "Take a shower." with the two bottles of shampoo below the words. The words are used to move our attention down the ad and to the shampoo to cleanse our thoughts from the beginning of the ad.
