After one year at AUB in 1981, he had to leave Lebanon because of the civil war. He then completed is undergraduate studies at UCLA and then went on to finish medical school at UPenn. He trained at Duke University in neurological surgery but went on to specialize in Pediatric Neurosurgery at UAB. He currently runs a basic sciences lab and practices in a very cold northern city in America.
He is one of the most prominent pediatric neurosurgeons in America.
Born in Nigeria in 1959, he finished his undergraduate studies at the American University of Beirut and went on to graduate from the AUB Medical School with honors in 1985.

St. Joseph's University, he finished his
internship at Henry Ford in Detroit before
he moved on to the University of Illinois
Chicago where he will eventually set up
his practice until our present day. He is a
neurovascular specialist and has been
on the Best Doctors in America list
since 2002
After leaving Jal el Dib, an area just
north of Beirut, he finished both his undergraduate and his medical school
degree from Indiana University. He trained at Georgetown University in Neurological surgery and went on to specialize in Sports Medicine.
He has multiple media appearances and promotes healthy living and the importance of exercise worldwide. He performs a multitude of physical challenges himself and sets the example of a healthy lifestyle. He currently still
practises at UPMC, Pittsburgh.
Born in a small town in Northern Lebanon,
he graduated from the
American University of Beirut as well in 1984. After a brief period of residency in the UK, he finished his neurological surgery residency at the University of Minnesota.
He then went on to complete 3 fellowships in vascular, endovascular and skull base surgery under Drs. Robert Spetzler and Arthur Day.
He is currently the Vice-President of the World Association of Lebanese Neurosurgeons.
