1. Accounting is pretty much 80% math and luckily for me math is one of my favorite subject and I also find pleasure in calculating and adding up numbers
2. A Charterer account earns a lot of money, up to$ 120,000 after 5 years of experience. Due to the popularity and high demand of charterer accountants finding a job will be a piece of cake.
3. Math is universal, so this gives me the opportunity to work anywhere in the world as a charterer accountant as they are internationally recognized(Granted I know the somewhat of the language).
Discoveries
Throughout this entire project I discovered that I have three main criteria for selecting jobs. 1) I have to like/interested in the job. 2) The Job should the ability to travel a lot and 3) I should be able to earn a sizable amount of money (like I said money is universal). The second thing I discovered is, I don't want to be an accountant. Frankly I find it kind of boring, sure as a Charterer Accountant you get to work in teams and discuss with clients (Whole lot of Dough). Unfortunately I'm not that excited about the longer work hours and doing math on a computer for 50% of my life (Plus your probably calculating money of some person 20 times richer than you, that's pretty sad) On the bright side if I do major in accounting, then I can do my own taxes.
