Traditional Swedish cooking cannot be compared with the sophistication of French or Italian cuisine.

Some common Dishes are

* Smorgaboard - Swedish meatballs, salmon pies, salads, eggs, and bread.

* Swedish Crayfish

The four major Scandinavian languages- Danish, Swedish, Norwegian and Icelandic are all closely related. The languages have played an important role in creating a national identity. Finnish, on the other hand, is not a German language.
