Sweden's Flag
Sweden's Flag was adopted on June 22nd, 1906, Its design is hundreds of years old. Swedish flag is blue with a golden-yellow Scandinavian cross. The colors are from the Swedish national arms and the design is from the Danish flag. Sweden has a celebration day all about the flag on June 6th.
Sweden is a highly industrialized country and has one of the highest living standards in the world. Sweden is one of the world's leading producers of iron ore. Sweden carries a really large foreign trade.
Sweden has a cool climate, but the southern quarter of the country is a lot warmer. Swedish summers are usually sunny with only as little bit of rain fell, but August can be wet. The maximum temperature for July is 20C in the South and around 17C in the North. Long hot periods in summer aren't unusual, with temps soaring to over 30C.

Traditional Swedish cooking cannot be compared with the sophistication of French or Italian cuisine.

The four major Scandinavian languages- Danish, Swedish, Norwegian and Icelandic are all closely related. The languages have played an important role in creating a national identity. Finnish, on the other hand, is not a German language.
