“Do not judge, and you will not be judged. Do not condemn, and you will not be condemned. Forgive, and you will be forgiven.

But you can show patience and kindness to everyone you meet

You CAN avoid being a HARSH JUDGE (who thinks bits of plastic are a BIG DEAL!!!!)

Everyone thinks their opinion is right. Everyone wants you to agree with them

It's impossible to see eye-eye with everyone about everything

Everyone has had different circumstances leading up to this exact point of time

Circumstances that have molded their attitudes, opinions, behaviours...

Are LITTLE things stopping you having a meaningful relationship?

Is that BIG problem you see in other people, actually just a small bit of plastic?

The Bible Tells us NOT to JUDGE

But being a teacher

It's hard not to!

We judge

My Question

to you is

What grades to give

What awards to give

Whether or not a student's behaviour is commendable or inappropriate.

We Spend a lot of time...

In a way, it is expected of us.

being judges!

Do you judge people unfairly?

But...

Just like a Judge in court

or a policeman

or a security guard

or a nanny

or a baby sitter

I found the problem

A small piece of plastic was blocking the pipe

Remember, the same measure you use is the one God will use.

People often judge others too harshly

With positions of authority, comes great responsibility

First impressions or ONE mistake can cause people to make an opinion of someone else that might not be fair or accurate.

We need to be careful

Because with the same measure we judge others, we too will be judged by God.

A couple of years

ago....

I bought a dishwasher. Something went wrong. It stopped working. I got it replaced. 6 months later, that one stopped working. I got it replaced. Then 6 months later THAT one broke!

I nearly rang up to

get it fixed

But I decided to try and see what was wrong, myself.

I don't know where

it came from

I unscrewed every screw I could

Later I realised I didn't have to unscrew half of them!

I don't even know what it was from.

It was so small and insignificant, but it stood in the way of my dishwasher working. I nearly threw out the dishwasher!

After about an hour

of mucking around

I nearly judged my dishwasher unfairly

I could not believe my eyes.
