Due to political instability and corruption Bangladesh has been faced with a economic depression in the last few decades. This ha caused economic instability, economic depression, poverty, unemployment, the struggle for a stable and normal life, and an overall lack of industrialization. These several reasons have caused many people from Bangladesh to immigrate legally or illegally to bordering countries such as India or to more industrialized and technologically developed countries such as The United Kingdom

Bangladesh is a country in in South Asia, to the east of India and borders Myanmar. It is the 5th most populated country in Asia with a population of 168 million. Bangladesh has a rich and vibrant environment due to the many rivers that flow through it.

The glaring negatives of Bangladesh gave reason for millions to people to flee from the country, however countries like India and West Bengal offer great opportunities from the people of Bangladesh who are fleeing the political instability. Where they live in economic instability, political corruption, poverty, and unemployment, they can find the opposite in their neighboring countries who have job opportunities, economic security, political stability, religious tolerance, and democracy. These would be considered the pull factors to countries such as India and West Bengal
