Mapp v. Ohio
Cops went to Mapp's house to search for gambling evidence (without a warrant), but found something very peculiar..... Child pornography... Not good right, I know!
*The police who are going into her house did not receive a warrant, therefore this action was improper.
*Any evidence that was found in the searching needs to be disposed of.
*She wants to be set free
* The 14th Amendment does not guarantee the 4th Amendment protections in the State Courts, therefor, they should be able to use the evidence in court.
* The Bill of Rights only restricts what the National Gov. does
*Sentenced to jail
Court overturned her conviction hiding that the evidence against her had been found & seized without a warrant.
