Protagonist & Antagonist

The Antagonist in this book is Mazie, because she is the one who tries to ruin Kate and Marylin's friendship. Also Mazie is the antagonist because she is the bully to everybody. She also thinks she is better than everybody because she is the Cheer captain.

The Protagonist in this book is Kate and Marylin. Both of these characters are the protagonist because they are the ones who don't start trouble. Marylin and Kate fight sometimes but they are both the protagonist. Kate and Marylin have their ups and downs on how they look at things but they are still the good in the book.

Characters Feelings

Setting

The setting of this book is at the characters middle school. The time period of this book is around their seventh grade year.

In this book there was a lot of different feeling going on between the characters. For example, Kate's feelings was hurt when her best friend started hanging out with the cheerleaders, and Marylin forgot about Kate. This hurt Kate's feeling because Kate and Marylin had been best friends forever and Marylin was acting like Kate didn't exist. Marylin wasn't trying to make Kate feel that way but she did. Another example of the characters having different feeling is when Marylin first met Rhetta Myers. When they first met Rhetta was trying to be nice to Marylin, but Marylin was being mean to Rhetta. Marylin wanted to get her classes changed so she wouldn't have to be in a class with this new girl she thought was weird.
